Spilling steam turbines and steam engines
The independent turbine construction activities within the Miturbo group are integrated into the Spilling program. Development, construction, and manufacture are now located in Hamburg, complementing the steam engine product line. Spilling now covers the full scope for decentralised steam power plants in the performance range below 5,000 kW_el with a broad range of established machine technology.

Amended energy taxation in force
After 19 July, the Renovation Act for the taxation of energy products comes into force in Germany. This represents an updating to the tax reduction on natural gas and fuel oil used in micro-CHP units. Additionally, coal fuel becomes tax-exempt, when used in a combined heat and power generation system.

Spilling announces management change
In March 2006, Stefan Hergott joins the Spilling management and takes on the operative lead of the company. Managing director, Otto Mieth, CEO of the Miturbo group will be assuming an advisory function – in particular within product development.
